• onboarding responses, demographic inputs, and interest selections
• poll responses, survey answers, match-ups, and preferences
• messages or shared content within the App
• optional location inputs (manual or derived from postal information)

• device and app usage data
• crash logs
• screen interactions (MVP may have limited analytics)
• diagnostic or performance data

C. Optional Location Information

You may choose to enter your physical or voting address to receive personalized civic data.

Cast does not track you using GPS.

D. Information from Third Parties

• public government databases
• Google Civic Information API
• election or legislative data providers

2. How We Use Your Information

We use collected data to:
• personalize political, government, and civic information
• generate unbiased contextual summaries using AI
• improve recommendations and poll relevance
• provide customer support
• maintain platform safety
• analyze aggregated engagement trends
• develop new features

We do not sell your information.

3. How AI Uses Your Data

Your inputs may be processed by trusted third-party AI systems (e.g., OpenAI) to generate contextualized political information.
Personal identifiers are not included in prompts.

AI outputs may be stored to improve suggestions, but never sold or shared with advertisers.

4. Sharing of Information

We may share data only with:
• service providers (analytics, hosting, AI processing)
• legal authorities if required by law
• other users when you intentionally share content (e.g., internal messages or external messages and sharing)

We never share personal user data with political campaigns, PACs, advertisers, or voter-targeting firms.

We retain data only as long as needed for the App’s operation. You may request deletion at any time.

We use industry-standard protections, encryption, and access controls to secure your data.

7. Children’s Privacy

Cast is not intended for children under 18. Cast is intended for those of voting age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.

• opt out of certain analytics (MVP level)
