1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Cast mobile application (“Cast,” “the App,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By creating an account, accessing the App, or using any of our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you may not use Cast.
If you are using the App during a beta or MVP period, you acknowledge that features may be limited, incomplete, or unstable.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use Cast. If you are under the age of majority in your state, you may use Cast only with permission from a parent or guardian.
3. Description of Service
Cast provides tools for civic engagement, including:
• personalized political and policy information
• contextualized summaries of legislation, candidates, ballot initiatives, and public issues
• interactive polls and surveys
• community features allowing limited messaging or sharing
• AI-generated summaries or suggestions based on user input
Cast does not provide legal advice, financial advice, or voting instructions, and should not be relied upon as a substitute for official government information.
4. Beta/MVP Features
Because Cast is currently in a limited-access MVP:
• features may change or be removed without notice
• data accuracy is not guaranteed
• outages or errors may occur
• user accounts may be reset during testing
• we may contact users for feedback
5. User Accounts & Responsibilities
You agree to:
• provide accurate information
• keep login credentials secure
• use the App only for lawful purposes
• not attempt to scrape, hack, or reverse-engineer the App
• not misuse community features or send harassing content
We may suspend or terminate accounts violating these Terms.
6. User Content
You may submit content such as poll responses, messages, opinions, and shared materials (“User Content”). By submitting User Content, you grant Cast a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use that content solely for operating, improving, analyzing, and providing the App.
You retain ownership of your User Content.
7. Prohibited Conduct
You may not:
• impersonate others
• upload malicious code
• interfere with the App’s performance
• use Cast to threaten, harass, or manipulate political outcomes
• use automated tools to harvest data
• engage in conduct violating any applicable law
8. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer
Some information in the App is generated by artificial intelligence based on user inputs, publicly available data, or third-party databases. Cast does not guarantee accuracy, completeness, or real-time updates of AI-generated content. Users should independently verify information before taking action.
9. Third-Party Data & APIs
The App may access data from government APIs (e.g., Google Civic Information API, legislative databases) or third-party services. Cast is not responsible for outages, inaccuracies, or usage restrictions imposed by those services.
10. Intellectual Property Rights
All trademarks, code, logos, and materials provided by Cast are protected and may not be copied or reused without permission.
11. Termination
We may terminate or suspend access to the App at any time, with or without cause. You may also delete your account at any time.
12. Indemnification
You agree to hold harmless Cast and its founders, employees, and partners from claims arising from your use of the App or violation of these Terms.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Cast is not liable for:
• inaccuracies in data or AI-generated content
• decisions users make based on information in the App
• loss of data
• downtime, bugs, or technical failures
• indirect or consequential damages
Cast is provided “AS IS” without warranties of any kind.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance.

Data Accuracy Disclaimer
